Solo

On her baroque violin Anna Barbara Kastelewicz plays violin solo programmes of classical baroque literature – from early to high baroque.

With fondness she performs as a soloist, with orchestra, the concertos by Bach and Vivaldi.

Orchestra

Anna Barbara Kastelewicz is invited as a guest concertmaster in concert and opera productions in independent ensembles – including a teaching position at the University of the Arts Berlin.

With the new baroque orchestra berlin, founded by her, she designs her own programmes and follows the classical oratorio and choral literature. As a concertmaster, she led the Berlin premiere of the Christmas Oratorio by Antonio Casimiro Cartellieri (1772 – 1807), which was entrusted to the new baroque orchestra berlin.

Chamber Music

Anna Barbara Kastelewicz works in various chamber music formations.

With the Duo baroque violin – harpsichord she operates internationally. Recently she held a concert tour to Istanbul.

In the new baroque trio berlin with baroque violin, gamba and harpsichord or fortepiano, she develops thematic programmes, including rarely performed works by composers of the early baroque period to the “sensitive style” from the time of Frederick the Great.

The Bode-Quartet – soloists of the new baroque orchestra berlin is also dedicated to contemporary compositions in the historical style of performance practice in close collaboration with the composer.

Its counterpart, the Bode-Flute-Quartet – soloists of the new baroque orchestra berlin, develops primarily a repertoire of the Viennese Classicism.

Salon

With actors and dancers Anna Barbara Kastelewicz combines music, lyrics and dance to an artistic unit in an historical context with historical costumes and instruments.
